Seamen lovers rejoice! The second installment of No Limit’s slutty sailor slot is here and is actually quite a bit better than the original.
Before I begin, let’s start with some words on the original Seamen. It’s boring. I hated it. Spinning into a bonus was a nightmare and even if you did, it likely wouldn’t pay. Despite my distain for the slot, my viewers request it a lot and so eventually I've managed some pretty awesome wins using the 70/30 random chance bonus buys.
So, coming into this review I wasn’t expecting to like Soaked By Seamen as much as I did. First off, I love the brighter, multi colored graphic scheme; the new icons look awesome. They’ve added Side Hustles which I had a blast with while testing out the game. Sick of deadspins? Side Hustles turn them into your best friend by giving you a chance to win 12X the base bet if your spin ends up without a win. There’s 5 other side hustles that you can either activate alone or stack with the others. I’d recommend activating one at a time and be careful, it’s really easy to activate multiple side hustles without being aware so pay attention to what you’re clicking or you can end up with an expensive mistake.
With side hustles out of the way we have 7 types of spins you can play the game with; base, bonus, nutty spin, nuttier spin, big load x3, bigger load x6, and biggest load x15 for the psychos who like to lose money. If you watch my video review- linked below, you’ll see gameplay from each spin with the exception of biggest load because they’re obnoxiously expensive and I'm still dealing with some trauma from losing way too much from those types of spins.
My favorite spin would have to be the Bonus spin at 2.5x base bet cost. Every once in a while I’ll fire up the game and spin 10 times hoping to hit a bonus. Otherwise, you’ll likely end up 400 base spins in chasing a bonus that never comes.
I’m going to conclude the review with a few of my least favorite aspects of the game. 3 scatters are really tough to spin into and 4 scatters are near impossible. Even if you do get a 4 scatter, it’s not a guarantee it will pay well. I’ve had some bad ones, and on average my best wins have come from 3 scatter bonuses. Another dislike is that gameplay gets expensive very quick. Any spin aside from the 2.5x base Bonus spin is annoyingly expensive and hasn’t yielded me enough wins to tempt me to use them on the regular. Test them out, they are fun, but if you’re on a tight budget, feel free to skip them and enjoy the Bonus spins. One final complaint; the original Seamen game had an awesome feature where a win with 2 Scatters could be respun for a chance at a 3 Scatter Bonus. This feature has been removed and I’m not sure why, because it provides a great incentive for risking your winnings on a respin. Further, the respins in this game are not as rewarding as the original. From my experience, most of my respins ended up with failure.
Despite these minor complaints, Soaked By Seamen blows the original out of the water. So much so that I find myself playing it in my free time; something I never did with the original Seamen. For while, No Limit was rushing out sequels that were nowhere near as good as the originals, but it seems like they've finally corrected course with Soaked By Seamen.
